Automobile Timeline
Automobile Timeline is a walk through the car history year by year mapping the most important events, inventions and people that contributed to the car history. The timeline of automobiles begins with the invention of car in 1672 (This is not the exact date, the invention of car can not be pinned to just one vehicle and just one inventor. for the whole list of candidates of the first car in history read the article on how the first car was invented.) and goes on through to invention of first internal combustion engines and then further through many improvements and innovations that made the car how we know it today.
The automobile timeline is not very dense in the beginning but later there could be numerous events listed under each year, to keep it consistent we only listed the most important ones. So browse through our car history timeline and have fun.
